MATH 656 Introduction to Linear Mixed Models
The course covers Linear Mixed Models (LMMs) that are used to analyze data collected over time (longitudinal data) or over various levels (multi-level data). LMMs are special-purpose regression models to address a prediction problem or an inference problem based on such data. Statistical computational programs R and SAS will be applied to demonstrate applications of these methods in the form of case studies.
Prerequisite: MATH 620 or DSCI 602 or permission of the department chairperson.
