2022-2023 Undergraduate Catalog

Health Center

In order to receive services at the Health Center, students must pay the Health Fee each semester.  The Health Fee covers office visits and plan of care by a doctor or nurse practitioner at both the Health Center and the Women's Center.  Evaluation by our physical therapist and treatment is also included.  Please go to our website to view more information about our services.

There may be out-of-pocket costs during a visit at the Health Center or Women's Center that are not covered by the Health Fee.  The Health Center and Women's Center do not bill any insurance for services provided at the time of a visit.  The cost of these services is often minimal and may even be less than the typical deductible paid to your insurance.  If you want to have any services billed to insurance, we recommend you contact your insurance company.  They will be able to direct you to a local primary care provider in your insurance network with whom you can establish as a new patient.  Otherwise, cost of services provided at the Health Center or Women's Center must be paid at the time of the visit or they can be put on your bursar account to be paid later.

Mandatory vaccine requirements include the following:

  • A total of 2 meningitis B vaccines, either Trumenba or Bexsero, if you are under age 24
  • 1 quadrivalent (ACWY) meningitis vaccine (between 16-21 years of age)
  • A total of 2 MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccines
  • 1 Tetanus/diphtheria vaccine within the last 10 years

Visit your healthcare provider to obtain these vaccines and then submit this information directly to the Health Center.  Students who do not complete this requirement will have a hold placed on their record.
