Major in Media Design and Development (BA/BS)
Students will be guided by the outline of baccalaureate degrees, the University Core Curriculum and the concentration areas listed below. Students majoring in the journalism department are encouraged to meet with a School of Journalism and Strategic Communication advisor within the first semester of the program. Prior to graduation, majors must complete a senior survey, an exit exam, and an exit interview with the appropriate program coordinator.
Students are encouraged to select a second major or minor that will complement their major in media design and development. Some program areas in the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication may not be open to students majoring in media design and development. Please check with an advisor in the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication before selecting a complementary major, minor, or concentration.

Students are required to complete a minimum of three credits in JOUR 369 (internship).
Students must choose one of the concentration areas below as part of the major in media development and design. Students may not combine concentrations in interaction design and development and media development and design.
Information Design and Prototyping Concentration, 12 credits
Interaction Design and Development Concentration, 12 credits
Media Development and Analytics Concentration, 12 credits
