POLS 250 Access to Justice in the Legal System

Addresses issues of access to justice in the United States civil and criminal court systems. Students will explore access to justice theories, analytical frameworks for addressing access to justice problems, and potential solutions to those problems. Topics for discussion include justice as it relates to poverty, race, class, and gender. Requires students to complete a number of service learning hours with community partners.

Open only to legal studies majors.
