2024-2025 Undergraduate Catalog

Major in Applied Cybersecurity (BS)

The B.S. in Applied Cybersecurity was developed in response to the persistent growth in criminal and state-sponsored cyber-attacks. These threat actors continue to target all aspects of society including individuals, companies, hospitals, educational institutions, governmental agencies, and the national infrastructure (e.g., agriculture, water, electricity, natural gas, air traffic control). The curriculum is based on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Topics include technology infrastructures, offensive security, defensive security, digital forensics, security monitoring and response, and emerging topics in cybersecurity.
