Transition to Teaching
The Elementary Transition to Teaching program is an alternative pathway to elementary teacher licensure for candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree in another field. Through a four-semester program (including three semesters of online coursework and one semester of in-person student teaching), candidates gain the knowledge and skills needed for classroom practice. Upon successful completing of the program and passing state-mandated licensing tests, candidates will be qualified to teach at the elementary level with an Indiana teaching license in grades K-6.
