UD 561 Urban Design Communications 1

This course equips students with mastery in both manual design communication methods and essential digital tools for urban design presentations. Students will develop skills in hand-drawn techniques, 2D modeling using CAD, and introductory 3D modeling in SketchUp. Additionally, the course covers composition and layout for effective sheet presentations. Emphasis is placed on creating compelling oral, written, and visual presentations that convey complex urban design concepts to diverse audiences. Prerequisite: Permission of the MUD program coordinator. A total of 6 credits may be earned, but no more than 3 in any one semester or term. Open only to College of Architecture and Planning students.
