Cognate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics

The doctoral cognate in epidemiology and biostatistics offers qualified doctoral students in health-related fields the opportunity to acquire advanced training in epidemiologic and biostatistical research methods. This 15-credit concentration of courses gives practitioners in other health-related fields skills they can use to specialize in the epidemiology of the disorders that they study or treat, as well a credential that may enhance their ability to secure grant funding for clinical research or other research involving epidemiological analyses.
