BIOT 695 DNA Sequencing in Bioinformatics

Broad overview of modern bioinformatic techniques. Emphasis on sequence alignment, DNA and RNA sequencing techniques, BLAST, and DNA sequence analysis. Inquiry-driven, project-based course that enables students to develop laboratory and computational competencies employed in academic and industrial lab settings. Prerequisites: BIOT 490 or 590 or equivalent or by permission of the instructor.
