POLS 550 Masculinity and Politics
Introduces students to the discipline of masculinity studies and shows how the discipline can enhance our understanding of politics in different historical periods. The course particularly emphasizes how influential political thinkers – like Plato, Machiavelli, and Nietzche – impacted the mutual development of masculinity and politics in the classical Greek and Roman and modern European and American worlds. Not open to students who have credit in POLS 450.
