Director of Exceptional Needs is available as a Post-Baccalaureate Initial License or Renewal.
Post-Baccalaureate Initial License
Master's degree completed (this program of a program taken elsewhere) Students who wish to complete this program as a master's degree and a licensing program combined, must meet all admission criteria for a master's and be accepted through the Special Education Department and our Graduate School. Completion of the courses below will not guarantee a master's degree will be granted, unless you have been accepted into the master's degree program.
Applicants must hold a valid license in one of the following areas: a.) a content area in communication disorders, b.) a content area in exceptional needs, c.) a building level administrator content area, or d.) a content area in school psychologist and two years of full-time experience as a school psychologist. Instructional license holders must have at least two years of verifiable full-time teaching experience in Special Education in an accredited school.
