MATH 100 Mathematical Proficiency and Numeracy for the Elementary Teacher

Develops students’ mathematical proficiency — strategic competence, adaptive reasoning, productive disposition, conceptual understanding, and procedural fluency. Students use models, strategies, and adaptive software to develop powerful numeracy. Offered credit/no credit only. 

Recommended Background: Two years of college preparatory mathematics in high school or equivalent.  

Open only to majors in elementary, special, or early childhood education.

Not open to students who have credit in a MATH course numbered higher than 100 except MATH 108 or MATH 125.
