CHEM 420 Chemical Instrumentation 1

Theoretical principles and applications of selected optical spectroscopic, mass spectroscopic, electrochemical, thermal, and chromatographic methods of chemical analysis with illustrative experiments. Two hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory period weekly. 

Prerequisite: CHEM 225 and CHEM 232 or CHEM 235 or permission of the department chairperson.
