NEWS 449 Legal and Ethical Issues

Examination of ethical and legal issues facing journalists, including libel, intellectual property, privacy, and freedom of expression with an emphasis on emerging media journalism.

Prerequisite: EMDD 212 or JOUR 234 or JOUR 235 or JOUR 250 or JOUR 261 or JOUR 280 or NEWS 109 or TCOM 284.

Not open to students who have credit in TCOM 384.
