Senior High, Junior High, and Middle School Education License (grades 6-12): Transition to Teaching

18-credit program will allow individuals who have an undergraduate degree in a similar field to become eligible for an Indiana teaching license.

This secondary transition to teaching program covers the following areas grades 5-12: Business, Chemistry, Chinese (Mandarin), CTE: Engineering and Technology, CTE: Family and Consumer Science, Earth/Space Science, English/Language Arts, French, German, Japanese, Journalism, Latin, Life Science (Biology), Math, Physics, Social Studies (all areas), Spanish.

Admission requirements

  • Earned baccalaureate degree from regionally accredited college or university in content area of license.

  • 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) or 2.5 grade-point average plus five years of work experience in related field.
