ANTH 417 Forensic Anthropology

Includes a survey of the anthropological methods and techniques used to recover and identify human skeletal remains in criminal and disaster investigations. Concepts and methods from other disciplines including anatomy, botany, and entomology are discussed. Topics will include skeletal identification, time since death, causes of death, pathology, and quantitative analysis. Prerequisite: ANTH 105 or BIO 100 or CHEM 100 or permission of the instructor.
